Shepherd Forest Applies for No Parking of Vehicles in Yards Ordinance 
The Shepherd Forest Civic Club has submitted an application for the establishment of a Prohibited Yard Parking Requirement Area (Section 28-303 of the Code of Ordinances) for Shepherd Forest Sections One, Two and Three (for boundry descriptions, click here) with the Houston Planning and Development Department. Once established, violating the Prohibited Yard Parking Requirement Area will be a misdemeanor and violators will receive a fine not to exceed $150 a day.
Protest to the establishment of the Prohibited Yard Parking Requirement Area can be filed with the City of Houston.  A written protest must be received by the City of Houston, Planning and Development Department, Neighborhood Services Division within twenty (20) days of application acceptance by the of City of Houston via a Notification Letter.

You Can Use

Shepherd Forest is sad to report that we have lost a long time resident, Mr. Herbert Lepler.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at the Pat Foley Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the 100 Club.  Please keep in your thoughts and prayers Ms. Ruth Lepler and her family at this difficult time. If you would like to prepare a meal for the family, please contact jwoodrufftx@yahoo.com.

SFCC Needs Volunteers!  
Spring is here! Shepherd Forest Needs folks with a green thumb to help beautify our esplinades and public spaces.  Gardening pros and novices alike are invited to help make Shepherd Forest a green gem.  To sign up for the beautification committee please email info@shepherdforest.org or come out to our next meeting on March 16th. 

Deed Restriction Amendment Committee Volunteers are needed too! Shepherd Forest is working to amend the 40+ year old deed restrictions in place in Shepherd Forest to ensure the neighborhood remains the safe and comfortable place we like to call home.  To learn about the Amendments, click here.  To volunteer email info@shepherdforest.org or join us at the March meeting.


Are you a Shepherd Forest Civic Club Member?  
The Shepherd Forest Civic Club Membership Drive is now underway!  FOr just $20 you can be a member of the Shepherd Forest Civic Club and make a difference in your neighborhood.  You membership dues help fund Citizens on Patrol (COP) and special projects like the Christmas Party, Annual Picnic, Easter Egg Hunt and many other neighborhood events and programs.  To become a member simply attend an upcoming Civic Club meeting or contact on of the Board Members listed in the Newsletter.
